Sermon Note

Pastor Prince

Preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ

What is dear to God’s heart is what Jesus did

There was no input from Jesus’s earthly father, He was born of virgin.

Jesus would travel all the way for the most demonised man.

The jews called Gentiles dogs

Jesus gave the woman a loop hole. He mentioned puppies. The woman called Jesus her Lord.

Jesus don’t like pretentious. Hypocrite means trying to be what you are not.

If i love you when you are trying to be someone else, than you will not feel love

The Lord wants us to know only when we are ourselves, we know He loves us

Those who act like righteous they don’t have a title to the Saviour.

Great is your faith. Jesus complemented her of her faith

They did not know the law. They just know Jesus.

Deuteronomy 8:7-9

For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills; A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey; A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.

We look up. We going to trust God for the rain.

We are now in the world where everything in the world we need to trust God

Things we go by sight we trust in, is all removed from us.

The bible talks a lot about famine. It is during this famine we prospered.

We are type of Issac.

Meditate on His Word. There will ge a gash !

Our first assignment is not to look at the Word what should i do, but to eat it!

The very first thing enemy attack is always the harvest.

Study the Word and feed others.

We are hungry for true bread.

We are not rebellious person.

A hungry man is angry man.

Feed on His Word!

Realised you are hungry. The enemy always attack your food

Stand for your food. Don’t let anyone rob you off your time with the Lord

Even a little piece of the Word can bring healing.

There is food. Not just drink!

What do you do with bread? You eat it. You don’t just admire it.

You receive life! Everyday we leak life

Fig is sweet but does not spike your blood sugar.

Sometimes you read the bible, you want to do general reading.

Ruth was married before. Usually in that time, they are seen as a curse to their husband.  She brought along her mother in law. Yet against all odds, she married the most eligible husband!

Keep on reading because water washes you

When you eat food, do you ask what vitamins inside? You just enjoy the food.

Just with the Word, enjoy feeding on the Word

Foolishness –  you don’t know

Slow of heart to believe – you know

God is the Author.

All scripture is God-breathed. Every Word.

Every Word is inspired.

God says I AM the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.

I AM STILL the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob

Scripture is inspired.

When you handling social media you don’t know what is truth.

When you handle the Word of God, it is truth!

Thy Word is truth

We are not called to imitate the world

We are called to insulate the world

Sanctify them by the truth!

2 Timothy 3:14-17

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Moses is the first 5 books

Jesus is there !

The Son He gave up on the cross is the Son He loves

It is not about you.

See Jesus. When you see Jesus you become like Him!

2 Corinthians 3:18

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

New Testament is very direct.

Old Testament has shadow and types

Deuteronomy 25:4

“You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.

Well-fed ox works more. Works more means more profit.

2 Corinthians 9:7-11

So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written:

“He has dispersed abroad,

He has given to the poor;

His righteousness endures forever.”

Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.

Who plants the vineyard and don’t eat of its fruits?

Is it oxen God is concern about?

The law was given for us to dig deep

God loves to show you Jesus. The Holy Spirit has been sent to glorify Jesus!

He who has the Son has everything

A wealthy man collected very expensive arts. He had a dear son who died in the war. His will was written. His art pieces are very expensive. The father had an art piece of his late son. The auction started. The very first one is the picture of his son. No one wants to buy. An elderly man stood up and said he will take it. He was working for the house and he loves this man.

The auctioneer said the auction is over. Based on the will, he who gets the son gets everything.

God sent Jesus so we will be identified with Him

See God’s love. God’s care for us.

Take care of the ones who serve the Lord. They should prosper even reap the material

2 Corinthians 9:11

while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.

Husband loves your wife even as Christ loves the church. In a self-sacrificial way

Leading of the spirit as to how husband loves his wife.

When people said is not practical, it is dangerous when you hear the 5 things or 7 things

For people, it is easier to tell me what to do than to see

Wealth, Worth and Warfare

God will teach us how to love and how to take care of children

Psalms 136:1

Thanksgiving to God for His Enduring Mercy

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!

For His mercy endures forever.

Psalms 136:4-7

To Him who alone does great wonders,

For His mercy endures forever;

To Him who by wisdom made the heavens,

For His mercy endures forever;

To Him who laid out the earth above the waters,

For His mercy endures forever;

To Him who made great lights,

For His mercy endures forever—

Psalms 136:13-14

To Him who divided the Red Sea in two,

For His mercy endures forever;

And made Israel pass through the midst of it,

For His mercy endures forever;

Now you are reading judgement

But the focus should be His mercy endures forever

It is good news for God’s people

Time and time again, God gave them chance after chance

People’s heart still harden.

When you read judgement, look for mercy. God is showing mercy and grace

The ones He protected from Pharaoh

God is the first One in and last One out.

Come forth out of the ark

See the love of God

See for yourself first. God takes care of me

God is the God who make sure we get to eat and well paid

2 Corinthians 3:13-18

unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

A look from Jesus and Peter wept. Jesus prophesied Peter’s victory before he fell

Jesus saw the multitudes as sheep without shepherd

Why you see the sheep as hard? See them hungry

Always look to the Lord

Is harder to unveil, easier to preach the law

Where do you see Jesus?

2 Corinthians 3:6-9

who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Glory of the New Covenant

But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.

David was under law

When you read Old Testament, don’t forget the gospel

We are under grace. God looks at us as righteous in Christ

If sin is on Him, righteousness is on me

God sent His Son for this purpose

The letter are the 10 commandments that came on Mount Sinai

Law focus on do do

Grace focus on see

Work out the salvation

The ministry of death engraved on stone

Moses put a veil so the people cannot see the fading glory

All of us are spiritual bankrupt

Under law God demands righteous

Under grace God gives righteous

See the love of God.

See Jesus in it

You are now the righteousness of God in Christ. God is with you and never leave you!

The veil is taken away in Christ

Where do you see Jesus?

By reading the New Testament unveiled

We all includes all of us.

The mirror of God’s word

We see the glory of God’s Word

Open the bible, look. Our part is to transform

Always turn to the Lord before we read the bible.

Give me seeing heart and eyes
