Sermon Note

Pastor Lawrence (New Creation Church)

Let your heart be ready to receive. Ask and you shall receive. Knock and it shall be opened to you.

1 Corinthians 15:5

and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

Ephesians 1:7

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

Hebrews 8:12

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. The word gospel means good news.

Lets focus on the good news!

Romans 1:16-17

The Just Live by Faith

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

The good news of Jesus Christ. In this gospel is the power unto salvation.

This gospel is not just saving you from hell. It will bring protection provision in your lives.

The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. There is power in prayer.

It is the gospel. When we believe and experience the gospel. In Him we have redemption through His blood.

Our salvation from the penalty of sin.

The punishment of sin is eternal death.

God has to judge us for our sins. God as the holy God

Romans 4:5-8

David Celebrates the Same Truth

But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:

“Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,

And whose sins are covered;

Blessed is the man to whom the LORD shall not impute sin.”

God will not impute sin unto you.

What is of nos 1 priority that Christ died for our sins.

You are the righteousness of God in Christ.

God has delivered us and given us victory over our sins in our lives.

Today we can live life of moral excellence

God wants us to live life that will glorify Him

This holiness comes from Christ and Him alone.

In Christ God has set us apart. When we are set apart we will live life that glorify Him

How to be holy under grace?

If you want to have a revival, look at the praise report

A tree shall be known by its fruits

John 8:36

Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Romans 6:14

For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

2 Peter 2:7-8

and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)—

1 Peter 1:15-16

but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

How can we be holy? It is not saying we be holy by our own effort

Rest your hope fully upon the grace of God and you can be holy.

Today we are not sinners trying to be good before God. We are children who rest our hope fully upon the grace of God.

Titus 2:11-14

Trained by Saving Grace

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

John 1:17

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

When people understand the gospel, it is this same grace that will bring us salvation.

Godliness is tied up to the grace of God.

Grace is the only way to true holiness

Those who are forgiven much will σνє much.

When you realised you are forgiven you will σνє.

Matthew 22:35-40

Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

We are told to σνє but do we have the strength to σνє

Focus on He died for us and forgiven us.

We forgive because God has first forgiven us.

When we understand His σνє for us, we loved

When you receive His σνє, you are more than conqueror through Him who loved us.

The emphasis is He σνєs us.

Knowing you are beloved and forgiven

Knowing you are the righteousness of God in Christ.

Ephesians 4:25-28

Do Not Grieve the Spirit

Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.

Ephesians 4:22-24

that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Today God has clothed you with His righteousness

Romans 5:17

For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

Nothing is impossible for God.

Everyday when you wake up believe you are the beloved of God.

Start to declare. Start to believe you are righteous and you will live right.

1 Corinthians 6:19

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

We are redeemed by a great price!

When we know how valuable we are we will live life in integrity

When we know we are σνєd and forgiven, we will σνє and forgive.

There is hope for you. Even in the midst of habit and addiction, believe you are the righteousness of God in Christ.

Believe and start to see yourself how He sees you. Today you are righteous. Sin is not imputed to you.

You are forgiven of the crime but you are still a thief. But for sin is not imputed to you, you are not a thief.

It is God’s σνє for us. It is God who run to us.

Even in the midst of our sins, God run to us.

Luke 15:23

And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry;

Once a son, always a son. You are the beloved, my friend. He loves you.

1 John 2:15

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Today receive God’s σνє in your heart.

God wants you to know He loves you. No matter who you are. God cares for you. He loves you so much He gave His One and only Son. God loves you.
