The Ark is defending Himself. U don’t have to defend the ark
David did it the Philistine’s way.
1 Samuel 6:19
Then He struck the men of Beth Shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD. He struck fifty thousand and seventy men of the people, and the people lamented because the LORD had struck the people with a great slaughter.
When you go back from the law, you fall from grace
Galatians 5:4
You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralytic

Trying to be justified by the law cause you to fall from grace
Uzza
Names in the bible has meaning.

I will give her her vineyards from there,

1 Samuel 6:9

1 Samuel 6:12

The more you preach the law, it is like putting wood in the fire
God send revival where they are a lot of sins.

All the while, while David was afraid of God, Obed Edom was been blessed.
Believe in His goodness and love for us
Our strength is the very hinderance to His goodness. We are always taking the place of God to supply ourselves and protect ourselves.
Secret of Obed Edom’s blessings
Obed Edom was a poor man
But God blessed him
Enlarge his tent, territory
He was blessed in everything and all that he had and his household
2 Samuel 6:11
The ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months. And the LORD blessed Obed-Edom and all his household.
1 Chronicles 13:14
The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that he had.
2 Samuel 6:12
Now it was told King David, saying, “The LORD has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness.
Because of the ark of God
Obed means servant
Edom means red
Servant of red
Edom from the word Adam
Genesis 49:11
Binding his donkey to the vine,
And his donkey’s colt to the choice vine,
He washed his garments in wine,
And his clothes in the blood of grapes.
We are sanctified by His blood
We are made near to God by His blood
The blood is everything
As the blood is on the mercy seat, God cannot see the broken law.
Jesus shed His blood once for all.
Hebrews 10:10
By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Christ’s Death Perfects the Sanctified
The more we value the blood of Jesus, the more we will partake the holy communion
1 Corinthians 11:25
In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
When I see the blood I will pass over you
Exodus 12:13
Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.
We cannot do anything without the blood
We are justified once and for all by the blood of Jesus Christ
The more value we have of the blood, the more faith we have in the Lord
1 Corinthians 11:25

Obed-Edom always offered blood on the sacrifice
Obed-Edom stands in the place of the righteous man when he offered blood on the sacrifice
We are in Christ Jesus
Whatever we deserve that is bad, Jesus took for us at the cross
1 Chronicles 13:8-9
Then David and all Israel played music before God with all their might, with singing, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on cymbals, and with trumpets.
And when they came to Chidon’s threshing floor, Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen stumbled.
2 Samuel 6:12-13
Now it was told King David, saying, “The LORD has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness. And so it was, when those bearing the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, that he sacrificed oxen and fatted sheep.
First time David sacrificed oxen and fatted sheep.
Leviticus 17:11
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
1 Chronicles 13:13
So David would not move the ark with him into the City of David, but took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.
Amos 9:12
That they may possess the remnant of Edom,
And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,”
Says the LORD who does this thing.
Obed-Edom valued the ark and the importance of the shed blood
Genesis 3:21
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
The importance of the shedding of blood to cover sinners
Appreciation of the blood of Jesus Christ
He was not law conscious. Obed-Edom is a Philistine.
David is a old covenant man with new covenant mentality
2 Samuel 18:2
And David sent forth a third part of the people under the hand of Joab, and a third part under the hand of Abishai the son of Zeruiah, Joab’s brother, and a third part under the hand of Ittai the Gittite. And the king said unto the people, I will surely go forth with you myself also.
He was Jesus-conscious. He was not law conscious.
The blessings of God fell on him
Wherever the blood goes, the blessings will follow the ark
1 Chronicles 26:4-8
Moreover the sons of Obededom were, Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethaneel the fifth, Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peulthai the eighth: for God blessed him. Also unto Shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled throughout the house of their father: for they were mighty men of valour. The sons of Shemaiah; Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brethren were strong men, Elihu, and Semachiah. All these of the sons of Obededom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men for strength for the service, were threescore and two of Obededom.
God blessed him not just quantity but quality
Men of great ability
Deuteronomy 8:18
“And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
Able men with strength for the work
Let it manifest in such a way people will talk about it.
