Sermon Note

Pastor Prince (New Creation Church)

Worship Jesus together. Just for a while the world stops and remember Jesus

Walk in the spirit

Galatians 5:16-18

Walking in the Spirit

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

The glory of God will raise upon you.

Is the Lord who is the glorious one

The Lord said His glory will raise upon you

Walk in the spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh

Our focus is walk in the spirit. Not trying to focus on fulfilling the lust of the flesh

To walk around

Path of righteousness

As the sheep go along, the shepherd will guide along. One step at a time

The winding staircase is the truth of how to gain maximum height in the smallest space of time

It may seems you are going round and round and not going anywhere, but you are actually progressing upwards.

All the while you are making progress and going higher.

Path of peace.

Take one step at a time

If the older cow wants to stop, the younger cow better follows. When the older cow wants to move, the younger cow follows.

His yoke is easy and light.

The way of the transgression is hard.

The ways of the Lord is easy and light

The voice of a stranger we will not follow.

Walk in the spirit. It goes against the grain of the flesh

Ask the Lord to lead you.

The Lord leads you in a way that when you look for your bad habits and it is not longer there.

The spirit fighting the flesh and the flesh fighting the spirit

When you are led by the spirit you are not under the law

God does not drive His flock. God leads His flock

We know the Lord as our Saviour. The Lord wants to be our Shepherd. When the Lord is our Shepherd we will not lack in any areas in our lives.

Our job as pastors is to lead the flock and not drive the flock

God always lead.

Exodus 13:17

The Wilderness Way

(Ex. 40:34–38; Num. 9:15–23; 1 Kin. 8:10, 11)

Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.”

Be led by the spirit.

Romans 8:14-16

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

When Jesus came He brought sonship

You did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear

Fear – A wholesome dread of displeasing God

We have to do something before the Spirit can witness

The Holy Spirit will bear witness with our spirit

The Holy Spirit will lead us one step at a time

Obey the slightest prompting

Spirit directed activity. Be led by the spirit. Rest is not inactivity. Rest is spirit directed activity.

Every believers have an anointing. Anointing you receive from Him abide in you

1 John 2:27

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

The will of God is like a jacket. You need to try on.

You want a life partner. You don’t expect the person to drop on you. Go to group settings

Sarah was beautiful at the age of 90

You are daughters of Sarah

Repent on worldly thinking and start thinking Godly thinking

The moment David came before Samuel the prophet, he anointed him.

He also had to go one by one to find David

You will sense in your spirit as you move

Even the small leading, obey the leading

Lead with spirit and follow after love

When no one is looking, do you do right and be princely

Isaiah 48:17

Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer,

The Holy One of Israel:

“I am the LORD your God,

Who teaches you to profit,

Who leads you by the way you should go.

Follow the Lord

Adam and Eve followed the Lord in the cool of the evening

Genesis 17:1

The Sign of the Covenant

(Ex. 12:43—13:2)

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.

Enoch walked with God. He was translated that he shall not see death. He pleased God by faith.

We will be raptured without seeing death

We will never die. We will look good forever!

The rapture is Old Testament teaching. It happened to Enoch.

Walk in the spirit

Focus on the light. Focus on Jesus and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh

All these things. The dry leaves will fall off as you allow the life of God to flow through you

Hebrews 10:1-2

Animal Sacrifices Insufficient

For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins.

Hebrews 10:14-18 (ESV)

For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying,

“This is the covenant that I will make with them

after those days, declares the Lord:

I will put my laws on their hearts,

and write them on their minds,”

then he adds,

“I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”

Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.

I will provide for you. You will be to Me the people most blessed

All shall know Him from the least to the greatest

Hebrews 8:12

For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,

and I will remember their sins no more.”

Jesus died on the cross for you and I

God remembered our sins at the cross and Jesus died the penalty of it.

He was judged on our behalf

God cannot remember (mindful of) our sins. He does not deal with us based on our sins. He deals with us based on His Son.

We are worthy because we are in Him.

He got what we deserved and we got what He deserved

When we are led by the Spirit, the Lord caused us to profit from it.
