Sermon note (1st svc) – The secret of hearing that brings untold blessings (9 Jan 2011)

If we hear 10 things that are positive, and 1 negative, we will be affected and upset by that 1 negative.
Let’s focus on good news! The word gospel is good news. We have a good news gospel. We are the people who are supposed to be happy!
In Israel trip, there is a tour guide in the bus. He had to play a DVD in the bus. However all the DVDs that he put, all were not working. Finally he put Pastor Prince’s DVD and it worked! All of them were captive audience. He was corrected by his management, however he said only Pastor Prince’s DVD works!
Everything we received from God is by faith! When someone prays for us and we receive by faith, then we can receive.
Without faith it is impossible to please God. We are healed by faith, saved by faith. We fight the good fight of faith. Fight to believe what God has given us, we have!
Don’t concentrate on fighting the darkness. When we are in faith, we win. Fight to remain in faith! Faith has got to do with Jesus. The Author and Finisher of faith!! Jesus originate faith and completes it!
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
Romans 10:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Once we know that, we position ourselves where the blessing and glory come out!
Faith does not come by having heard.
Romans 10:14-17
Israel Rejects the Gospel
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The norm by which faith comes by hearing is not listening to God alone. Faith comes by hearing through a preacher!
Bring out Jesus in the Word of God !
God sees us holy perfect and blameless. Because God sees the perfect work of His Son!
Listen to the gospel of peace! Always listen great tiding of good things!!
Pure unmixed goodness!
Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
It is easier to give the law than to give revelation
Psalms 65:11
You crown the year with Your goodness,
And Your paths drip with abundance.
God satisfy our souls, so that our youth is renewed like eagles
Isaiah 55:2-3
Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—
The sure mercies of David.
Listen – shema, shema (a heart of hearing)
Good – tov
Abundance – deshen
A heart of hearing
If u want to see manifestation in your lives, keep on hearing!
The Word of God is incorruptible seeds! God’s Word is a bag full of incorruptible seeds!
Full attention. Listen with physical ears and hearts
Listen, listening, hear, hearing.
Hear. The greatest commandment began with hear.
“I am the Lord who heals you”
Exodus 15:26
and said, “If you diligently heed (shema, shema) the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”
What Jesus did, God set it to our accounts! When we accept Jesus, God gives us A + for all. All that is left for us is shema shema.
God does not heal us cos we kept the commandments. God heals us because we shema shema.
The woman with 12 years of blood issue, she shema shema and she was healed.
Testimony –
A mother with a 7 year old son, who was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She heard about Jesus in the church and she came for the first time. She heard in the church and received blessing for her son when Pastor prayed over the church members. Her son is now completely healed of his cancer!

Hear and to be healed!
Luke 5:15
However, the report went around concerning Him all the more; and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by Him of their infirmities.
Incline on God’s Word.
Quoting verses to ourselves is meditation.
Meditate on verses like Psalm 23.
Have a psalm we can quote off hands.
Faith comes by hearing. Power of God’s Word.
Miracle of meditation.
We have good success!
Pray in tongue and manifestation of God’s Word.
Luke 6:17-20
Jesus Heals a Great Multitude
And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases, as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.
The Beatitudes
Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said:
“Blessed are you poor,
For yours is the kingdom of God.
We need to be reminded that God is good!
Keep on hearing and hearing. First response when you receive bad news.
Keep on hearing even though u have heard.
Acts 14:7-10
And they were preaching (imperfect tense, continuous tense in Greek) the gospel there.
Idolatry at Lystra
And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked. This man heard Paul speaking (imperfect tense) . Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked.
That which is impossible with man is possible with God!
Paul kept on preaching and the man kept on listening.
First thing that happen is healing when we listen listen.
Hear, hearing, listen, listening.
Deuteronomy 11:13-14
‘And it shall be that if you earnestly (shema shema) obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.
Deuteronomy 11:21
that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, like the days of the heavens above the earth.
Health comes before even family. You need health to serve family.
Deuteronomy 15:5-6
only if you carefully obey (shema shema) the voice of the Lord your God, to observe with care all these commandments which I command you today. For the Lord your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you.
Those who lend reign over those who borrow.
When Jesus heals people, He never qualify them.
Whoever came, they were healed.
We are a Jesus’ church. Priority is healing
God wants u to lend and be a blessing! God wants u to have more than enough!
Deuteronomy 28:1-3
Chapter 28
Blessings on Obedience
“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey (shema shema) the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:
“Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.
Keep on hearing we end up doing! When we are full of energy, we cannot stop ourselves from doing!
James 1:23-25
For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
Be a continuous hearer.
Galatians 3:2-5
This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain?
Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?—
Receive the holy spirit by hearing.
We began in the spirit by hearing.
God is constantly supplying spirit to us.
By works or by us hearing?
Hebrews 4:2
For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
Keep on hearing. Keep on hearing.
Those days when u r not feeling well, is when u feel empty and lousy. God said keep on hearing and hearing.
If any man comes to Me and drink. Drink from the living water!
The key is keep on hearing and hearing and hearing!!
The book – 100 days of Favor is to saturate you with favor-minded.
Listen carefully. Hearing, hearing.
Hearing of faith and not by works of the law.
