Sermon Note

Pastor Prince

Jesus came to accomplish everlasting righteousness

Jesus came to give you everlasting righteousness. That means His righteousness is like Himself.

We are always in the righteousness of God in Christ. We need to know the forgiveness is complete.

Every year the year of atonement need to observe yearly

Romans 4:25 – 5:1

who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.

Faith Triumphs in Trouble

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

The same Lord Jesus Christ so identify Himself with us. All our sins are completely put away. If not Christ will not be raised from dead.

Always know He is there accomplish redemption for us.

We have peace with God

Actively hold on to the fact that you have peace with God

Isaiah 54:14

In righteousness you shall be established;

You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear;

And from terror, for it shall not come near you.

The Lord Himself will teach your children directly.

Isaiah 54:17

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,

And every tongue which rises against you in judgment

You shall condemn.

This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,

And their righteousness is from Me,”

Says the LORD.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper.

For their righteousness is from Me

Once you are established in righteousness you won’t suffer those things the world suffer.

God delight in us having the sense of right standing with God

We are the righteousness of God in Christ

We stand on favour ground

We have access into this favour

The favour that Esther received.

The same favour is now ours and forever

Wrong believing will produce wrong living

Right believing will receive right living

Living by faith will produce the result

We don’t have to worry about the wrong living part

The righteous shall live by faith

Having a net produces a shalom inside to cause us to excel outside

Hebrews 6:4-6

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

The bible is written to us for our benefit. We also need to understand the context and the background

Hebrews 1:1-2

The Supremacy of God’s Son

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.

You and I are gentiles

It is talking about the jewish fathers. Hebrews.

There is only one nation that has covenant with God, that is Israel through the Father Abraham

When come to the book of Hebrews, all these sacrifices were all pointing to the final cleansing the true Lamb of God who will take away their sins.

Today we are living after the Messiah has come.

They lived before Christ came

When Israel was under the law they were infants.

We are no more under law we are under grace

We don’t go back to kindergarten

Isaiah 32:17

And the effect of righteousness will be peace,

and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever.

Forget yourself and serve the King of kings

Hebrews 6:13-14

The Certainty of God’s Promise

For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he had no one greater by whom to swear, he swore by himself, saying, “Surely I will bless you and multiply you.”

Hebrews 6:18

so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.

It is impossible for God to lie

Hebrews 6:4-6

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

It is possible to be enlightened but short of been saved

Matthew 27:34

they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink.

Partakers – metochos

Together with

It means joint partner with what the holy spirit is doing

The disciples were followers and disciples of Jesus but were not saved because Jesus was not yet died on resurrected

They cannot be saved until Christ has died on the cross for their sins

Jesus told a godly man he must be born again.

We are born again, recreated

All those who died in the old testament they don’t go to heaven straight away.

Today a believer died he goes straight away to heaven.

Paradise is not heaven. Paradise is a place where righteous Godly believers go to

Feelings don’t depart after you died

For us is a real life

When Jesus died on the cross the dead bodies of the saints rose from the tombs. The bodies. They were the first fruits of those who received their bodies. The people of Jerusalem saw them

Great crowd of witnesses. That is when they entered heaven

Today we have the holy spirit in us forever

Forever is a long time, my friend.

Tasted the good word of God

It is only a taste but they did not drink it in.

If they believe on Christ, He gives eternal life and they shall never perish.

Hebrews 6:9

A Better Estimate

But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner.

Beloveds is only used for God’s people

Every books of the bible can speak to us today. We must see them in context

If you have been hearing something in out of context you are in fear

Hebrews 6:18

that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

Hebrews 6:13-14

God’s Infallible Purpose in Christ

For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”

God is your supply. Not your job

Genesis 22:16-17

And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

God is your source.

Surely blessings i will bless you

It is impossible for God to lie

Multiplying i will multiply you

Multiply in every areas of your life

Have dominion over the earth

When God blesses you, you are empowered to succeed

You are empowered to live life more abundantly

You are empowered to be a blessing!

God said Surely blessings i will bless you. It is impossible for God to lie

You are a blessed man and blessed woman

Expect preferential treatment

Genesis 26:1-3

And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;

Genesis 26:12-14

Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

Great – grew great – very great

The blessings were tangible

Very evident

God wants to bless you until the world is jealous

Things happen to work for you

You are Abraham’s seed

Surely blessings i will bless you

Multiply i will multiply you

Hebrews 6:17-18

Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

God lowered Himself. He swore to give us strong encouragement

That surely blessings He will bless us, multiplying He will multiply you

Amen!
