Proverbs 4:23

Keep your heart with all diligence,

For out of it spring the issues of life.

Proverbs 4:23 (NLT)

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life

The life is determined by your heart. So the bible said guard your heart.

How do we guard our heart?

If we have the key to guard our heart, it determines the course of our life.

The course of your life is determined by your heart.

Let God be God. Let Him handle for us

We all wanna solution. We are not there yet by we are not where we were. We look back and see what God has done for us and we see it is not enough and still complain about our situation.

The heart is mentioned in the bible 1000 times!

Anthropological – body parts

Ur life is determined by what is in your heart.

It is more than just beating.

Jeremiah 17:9-10

“The heart is deceitful above all things,

And desperately wicked;

Who can know it?

I, the Lord, search the heart,

I test the mind,

Even to give every man according to his ways,

According to the fruit of his doings.

The Lord searches the heart. The Lord knows what is in your heart. Outwardly you do one thing and inwardly is another.

When one is smoking, it is a form of rebellion.

God has been dealing with rebellion from beginning of time.

God searches the heart.

If the heart is good, good comes forth. If it is evil, evil comes forth.

1 Cor 4:5 AMP

So do not go on passing judgment before the appointed time, but wait until the Lord comes, for He will both bring to light the [secret] things that are hidden in darkness and disclose the motives of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God

Mark 7:21-23 AMP

For from within, [that is] out the heart of men, come base and malevolent thoughts and schemes, acts of sexual immorality, thefts, murders, adulteries, 22 acts of greed and covetousness, wickedness, deceit, unrestrained conduct, envy and jealousy, slander and profanity, arrogance and self-righteousness and foolishness (poor judgment). 23 All these evil things [schemes and desires] come from within and defile and dishonor the man

The heart deceitfully wicked. Good heart good person bad heart bad person

Matt 12:33-37

33 “A tree is identified by its fruit. If a tree is good, its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad. 34 You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say. 35 A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. 36 And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. 37 The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.”

Is not guard things outside. Is guard ourselves.

Above all things, guard our hearts. Watch what you say. Why are you so unhappy and unbelieving?

There is hope. The heart can teach the mouth.

Proverbs 16:23

The heart of the wise teaches his mouth,

And adds learning to his lips.

Speak to your circumstances and it will change your heart.

Ephesians 3:16-19

that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Jesus is in our heart.

After we are cleansed and washed by the blood of Jesus, He chose to dwell in our hearts!

Guess who is guarding your heart?

Jesus choose to dwell in your heart!

In the deceitful of our heart, first thing to do is to turn to Jesus.

To be able to hear God and catch a glimpse about what God sees, is good enough.

We are all under steward. We come to care group.

Sometimes you want God for a clear answer, it is coming to you, hear Him. Nobody can have authority over you, unless is given from above.

Have the spirit of submission.

Today, Christ in our hearts.

Jacob toiled for 20 years and his wages were changed 10 times. God showed up and gave him the picture. There is no way a solid colored goats can produce spotted goats

God gave vision. God of Bethel showed Jacob what to do.

Jesus is the God of Bethel.

When goats came, Jacob visualized.

God brought him out of the situation. Christ dwells in our hearts.

The heart can feel emotions.

Proverbs 15:13

A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance,

But by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

John 14:1

The Way, the Truth, and the Life

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

Colossians 3:15

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

Be thankful and grateful.

There are so many things we can be thankful for.

Be thankful of what we have. Why compare?

You compare and make your heart troubled for what?

There is glory in that. Recognise what we have and being steward over what we have.

When God prosper me, and we have more to bless our family, go for it.

We are faithful to the little, more will come to us.

Guard our hearts, especially guys.

A daughter of a millionaire fell in love with a factory operator. Is the heart. No problem. The man want her to eat whatever he can afford and not one cent come from her family. And she loves him to the max.

Guard your heart.

Deuteronomy 8:14

when your heart is lifted up (proud), and you forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;

Matthew 11:29

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

God will get you out of your troubles and will get you above more than you can think of

Let me not forget the Lord when i am so blessed.

The principle of the tithe

The tithe really test the heart.

Break the poverty mentality.

Our hearts can condemn us

Your heart can bluff u.

1 John 3:20-21

For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.

Our heart can condemn us.

The Lord has already forgiven you.

When you feel, “all that You ask for, i can do and i will do it”, this is dangerous

When you feel sick and tired, find a sermon and blast.

The Word is life! There is nothing you need to do, you just need to let the Word flows in your life!

The heart can think and reason.

Matthew 9:4

But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?

Mark 2:8

But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts?

Exodus 7:13

And Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, as the Lord had said.

Tithing is a form of worship.

Give the Lord the best of your strength and your youth. Give the best to the Lord! Give the best of your time to the Lord. Give your skills and ability to the Lord.

It is not just about money.

The heart can be stubborn.

God already send people to help you. You don’t want to listen, what can we do?

Pride and power

The heart can be stubborn. It can be hardened.

As your heart is, so are you.

Heart you shall beat like a horse. Hair you shall be fruitful and multiply. Youth be renewed like the eagles.

Secret to youth –

Let no man despise your youth. Don’t let yourself despise your own youth. When you exert your experience (years), you are making yourself old.

Pride is deadly.

Let no man despise your youth. Don’t despise your own youth.

You blur blur, is ok. The more blur and weak you are, the better it is.

When you are weak than I am strong.

Be like David who did not know anything. Boast towards Goliath but come in the name of Jesus!

Proverbs 2:2

So that you incline your ear to wisdom,

And apply your heart to understanding;

The heart, the ground where the Word is sown.

Mark 4:13-15

The Parable of the Sower Explained

(Matt. 13:18–23; Luke 8:11–15)

And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? The sower sows the word. And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.

Praise plows the heart.

You have the siansation, sing to the Lord.

You must have your own song. Cry if you need to. He bottles up all your tears.

Psalms 56:8

You number my wanderings;

Put my tears into Your bottle;

Are they not in Your book?

Worship is plowing your heart. Take your time. Go with His flow. The Word comes and you will receive.

Mark 4:26-29 NLT

Jesus also said, “The Kingdom of God is like a farmer who scatters seed on the ground. 27 Night and day, while he’s asleep or awake, the seed sprouts and grows, but he does not understand how it happens. 28 The earth produces the crops on its own. First a leaf blade pushes through, then the heads of wheat are formed, and finally the grain ripens. 29 And as soon as the grain is ready, the farmer comes and harvests it with a sickle, for the harvest time has come.”

There are other things in your heart that are planted. They grow together with the Word. We allow the Lord to take out the weed.

How we receive all these? Through our eyes gate and ear gate.

There are 7 officials in your face.

Two eyes two nostrils, one mouth and two ears

There are some seeds stolen.

Allow the Lord to guard your hearts and remove them.

Don’t put your trust in men.

What do we actually believe? The extend we are fearful, is the extend we need God’s light in that area

The weed and the seed of God grows together. God is the One who will cleanse everything.

When situation happen, what do you really really believe?

Talk to your kingdom friends. Seek Godly counsel.

Don’t think you are the only one going through issues. It is good to get it out and don’t try to solve the problem yourself.

What is in your heart? Change what is in your heart that ie out of line with the Word of God and strengthen your heart in the Word the Lord has planted in your heart.

Jesus was a foreigner in this world. Does not matter where you are from.

Proverbs 4:23

Keep your heart with all diligence,

For out of it spring the issues of life.

Genesis 28:12

Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

John 1:51

And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”

Who is the stairway? Jesus! There is no other way for divine intervention but Jesus!

Jesus is the God of Bethel. He is your solution to your challenges! He is the stairway to heaven.
