Sermon note (4th svc)

We will rise with eagle wings!

God will be the One who anoints the fathers with fresh anointing this year.

As fathers we don’t have the time to receive the love as often. We are called to serve and lay aside our own desires. There is no perfect family. If anyone needs to give in, will be the fathers. You cannot be fathers expecting your loved ones to say something good or bad, soon you will be angry. Put your sights on the Lord. It is always the Lord. Do it because of Jesus. He loves you.

If your family love tanks is low, fathers you still love.

In all relationships, just cut off from expecting your loved ones to response. Put our eyes on the Lord. Serve your loved ones. It is higher level.

You are the priest and the king of the house, fathers.

Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Wait -> Hope
The root of that is hope in the Lord.

Renew is change
Change our human strength for His strength.

Honour your leaders. They are in the positions.

There is an anointing for a president, a prime minister, leader of nation. We honour the anointing of the office.

Even your parents, honour them.
Remember there was a promise, you will live long on the earth when you honour your parents. Things will go well with you.

God wants us to honour the office. You don’t speak against the person. Honour means give weight.

You don’t break the spirit you break the will of your children. They will live long and good.

We honour the anointing and the role and authority.

Luke 15:11-32

Luke 15:11-14
Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, “Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want.

Take the lowest place in any place you go to, and let others bring us to higher place.

Jesus left the house and great multitudes followed Him.

Hate in this context -> is love less, love Him more than anyone else.

We are not running our own energy anymore. Run with His energy. We will walk and not faint.

When we come to Him as a sinners, Jesus open up His world to us as our Saviour!

The Shepherd (Jesus) left the 99 to find the 1 lost until He found it.

He will find the lost coin. The number 1 picture of the Lord is the Shepherd.

The One who draws you, the One who is gentle. He sweep the entire world to find the lost coin and celebrated with a party that He found the lost coin.

No one gave him anything.

Luke 15:15-17
Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.
“But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

It was the goodness of the father that brought him to repentance.

Kissed him -> repeatedly kiss him

Luke 15:18-21
I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’

“And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. (Repeatedly kiss him)

And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

Best robe in the hebrews is the first robe

Luke 15:21-24
And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
“But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.

They killed the fatted calf in front of the son, not behind. Showed him the price of the fatted calf killed.

Life is when we are back in God’s presence.

It is ok to dance in the Father’s house. God ordained dancing. God invented it. There was music and dancing in the house of God

Luke 15:25-27
“Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’

God threw a celebration and the son came home. God the Father. Son is you and I. The older brother represent the Jews.

God has not forgotten His covenant relationship with Israel.

The word Angry appeared the first time here. The world out there has a picture of angry God.

Luke 15:28-32
“But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’

“And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’ ”

Honour for the position.

God will handle the older brother, we eat the fatted calf in the house.

The Bible is not like any noble we read or watch.

It is possible for God to give you and you don’t see it. You magnify the negative and miss the moments God gives.

God loves it when we praise and not murmur.

Be thankful for what you have.

The blessed man does not see when heat comes. His focus not on it.
The cursed man does not see when good comes.

Instead of fault finder, be a good finder.

It is so easy for us even in the midst of paradise to find fault in something.

Chew on the Word, absorb, bring it out and chew again. Then bring it out and chew again.

Luke 15:31
“And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.

God has blessed us, enjoy it.
A lot of people would love to have our blessing and position.

Deuteronomy 21:18-21
The Rebellious Son
“If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and who, when they have chastened him, will not heed them, then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city, to the gate of his city.

And they shall say to the elders of his city, ‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.’ Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones; so you shall put away the evil from among you, and all Israel shall hear and fear.

This is the law. This is one law that was never carried out.

Old Testament – (law) dealing with hands of righteous judgement
1. Son was displaced (stoned, showered with stones)
2. Received what he deserved
3. Ended with sorrow
4. Ended with death
5. Ended with funeral

New Testament – (grace) is the heart of righteous love
1. Son was replaced (son was showered with kisses)
2. Received what he don’t deserve
3. Ended with songs
4. Ended with delights
5. Ended with feast

All these changes is because of another Son. This Son is obedience and brought joy to His Father.

This Son always brought joy to His Father that He opened heaven twice to say He is His beloved Son, the Son of His delights.

2 places God opened heaven to say to Jesus He is His beloved Son –

1. The deepest place in the entire world is the Dead Sea. The lowest place of your child life, you still affirm him

2. Highest place is Mount Herman. The highest place of your child life, you affirm him as well.

Creation was made for us. We were made last so that we can enjoy.

We celebrate to enjoy. Enjoy each other. Enjoy your life.

Stop postponing your enjoyment. Enjoy now while you are going there.

The very pride he had was his hair and that was his curse

2 Samuel 18:9
Then Absalom met the servants of David. Absalom rode on a mule. The mule went under the thick boughs of a great terebinth tree, and his head caught in the terebinth; so he was left hanging between heaven and earth. And the mule which was under him went on.

Jesus died for our sin. He took our place. He was our substitute.

When Jesus was tired at the well, He felt energised to minister to the woman by the well.

There is no gospel of health and wealth. God wants us to prosper.

Those who are against health and wealth, when they leave their inheritance to their sons they want their sons to have wealth. And when their sons are sick they want their sons to be healthy.

God blesses us. The divine exchange at the cross.

He took our judgement and we took His blessing on the cross.

He was hang between heaven and earth, took the curse so that we can have His blessing.

When He was crucified, midday became midnight.

God’s hands is seen in judgement.
His heart is seen when he is moved.

The heart moves the hands. Not the hands move the heart.

Under law you see God’s hands. Under grace you see God’s heart.

A judge cannot go by his heart or emotion.

Jesus gave God the righteous foundation to release Himself.

God heart is always love!

The law restricted God. Man has to face the law before he can appreciate God’s grace.

We need to be born again, not God.

If there is no righteous foundation, than Jesus had preach against the law. No, He was the One who gave the law in the Old Testament

Deuteronomy 21:22-23
Miscellaneous Laws
“If a man has committed a sin deserving of death, and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree, his body shall not remain overnight on the tree, but you shall surely bury him that day, so that you do not defile the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance; for he who is hanged is accursed of God.

Galatians 3:13
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),

Galatians 3:14
that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

The blessing of Abraham has come upon us! Abraham lived to 175 years old. He was strong. Let him be your role model.

Don’t think like the world and anticipate like the world.

The blessing of Abraham is on me! Confess that!

Famine came to Abraham life but he still prospered!

Blessing of Abraham is mine!

When you are working out, say blessing of Abraham is mine❗️

Don’t compare with other people in the bible as role model.

Jesus hang on the cross that the blessing of Abraham might come upon us.

Crucifixion is you die while you hang on the tree.

Why did Jesus hang on the tree and not stoned?
Christ redeemed us by becoming a curse for us.

Christ on the cross became a curse that the blessing of Abraham might come upon me.

Christ became a curse for us therefore the blessing is mine!

See the love of God!

To be redeemed from the curse you have to be on the tree!

We are redeemed from the curse❗️
Think different. Stop thinking worldly.

Stop looking for the good in everyday instead of looking for the bad.

All of a sudden you are stronger and your mind is clearer and your life becomes more joyful!

Christ became a curse for us that the blessing of Abraham may come on us!

This idea of holy spirit filling you is never heard of in the Old Testament.
You! The blood of Jesus has so cleansed you that the holy spirit dwells in you!

Allow your position in inside, inward posture of rest. The blessing of Abraham is mine!

Abraham was never sick and lived to 175 years old. Trust Jesus and not the worldly thinking of what food we take in.

Paid by the blood of Jesus!
