Sermon Note (3rd svc)

Pastor Lawrence

A brother spoke to him and told him he lost his job and he became depressed and started drinking and wanted to take his life. Pastor Lawrence asked him to give grace a chance.

Between 18-20 years old, Pastor’s life was going downhill. It left him with emptiness on the inside that caused him to be depressed

One night he felt like ending his life. There was no reason for him to live on. He came from a broken family.

He cried out to God. (He did not go to church or even regard God in his heart for 2 years)

He cried out to God, if You are real, reveal Yourself to me.

God told him He has loved him with an everlasting ℓσνє.

He knew it was God. He called his friend Terence. He called his friend’s mum and told her that he wanted to go to church.

He had encounter with God. No matter how far you had fallen, God is still there and remember you.

It is His ℓσνє

His life changed slowly and surely. Grace transformed his heart.

Today if you are here and you are a backslidden Christian

 Jeremiah 3:12

Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say:

‘Return, backsliding Israel,’ says the Lord;

‘I will not cause My anger to fall on you.

For I am merciful,’ says the Lord;

‘I will not remain angry forever.

Come and receive His ℓσνє and His grace. His ℓσνє and grace will change you. His change is true transformation. It is inward change.

the changes are so supernatural that you do not know.

The things that are impossible with men are possible with God

God’s will is found in God’s word

If you want to know what God’s will is, you only need to look at God’s word

Jesus is the Word of God

Jesus is the exact image of the invisible God

We can see Jesus. Jesus is the exact image of God.

Image means representation

Jesus is the exact representation of God

He who has seen Me has seen the Father.

Look at Jesus, you see God. Precisely as who you want Him as.

Jesus has the heart to heal the sick.

Healing is God’s will.

With absolute certainty, it is God’s will to heal you.

Exodus 15:26

and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”

The Lord revealed His name to His people

This name was given by God to His people

We are the righteousness of God in Christ

Because of Christ, you qualify today

A righteous man is a man do don’t sin in the eyes of the Lord

Blessed is the man who the Lord shall not input sin.

Today we are holy, blameless, above reproach in His eyes

Yahweh Rapha. He is the Lord who heals us and still heals us today

Our God is a good God

If we do holy com and prayers in order for God to bless, than in what way are we different from Old Testament

It has to be revelation that it is Him who is blessing us.

We don’t do to get

We rest in the finished work of Christ

We rest in his victory

We are not trying to get. We already has.

When God prompts you in your heart to serve Him, He is giving you your opportunity to be blessed.

We believe when Jesus went to the cross, sin has been judged on the cross

The Lord’s hands is upon our church and Pastor’s ministry. Look at their life and the many testimonies the people were transformed

Put your faith in what the Lord Jesus has done on the cross

There is a place for us to persevere

Man shall not live by bread alone

The Word of God is our life and our strength

The word of God on stoney ground –

They do not have perseveration

When trials happened because of holy communion, they give up

Rejoice and have perseveration

Believe God all the way

Nothing is impossible with God

Genesis 12:10-20

Abram in Egypt

Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to dwell there, for the famine was severe in the land. And it came to pass, when he was close to entering Egypt, that he said to Sarai his wife, “Indeed I know that you are a woman of beautiful countenance. Therefore it will happen, when the Egyptians see you, that they will say, ‘This is his wife’; and they will kill me, but they will let you live. Please say you are my sister, that it may be well with me for your sake, and that I may live because of you.”

So it was, when Abram came into Egypt, that the Egyptians saw the woman, that she was very beautiful. The princes of Pharaoh also saw her and commended her to Pharaoh. And the woman was taken to Pharaoh’s house. He treated Abram well for her sake. He had sheep, oxen, male donkeys, male and female servants, female donkeys, and camels.

But the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram’s wife. And Pharaoh called Abram and said, “What is this you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife? Why did you say, ‘She is my sister’? I might have taken her as my wife. Now therefore, here is your wife; take her and go your way.” So Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him; and they sent him away, with his wife and all that he had.

Abraham did something out of fear

He has a covenant with God and God watched over him.

Even in your sin and failures and mistakes, God can still bless you and protected you

Genesis 13:1-2

Abram Inherits Canaan

Then Abram went up from Egypt, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him, to the South. Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.

Grace cannot be understood

Genesis 20

Abraham and Abimelech

And Abraham journeyed from there to the South, and dwelt between Kadesh and Shur, and stayed in Gerar. Now Abraham said of Sarah his wife, “She is my sister.” And Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah.

But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, “Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife.”

But Abimelech had not come near her; and he said, “Lord, will You slay a righteous nation also? Did he not say to me, ‘She is my sister’? And she, even she herself said, ‘He is my brother.’ In the integrity of my heart and innocence of my hands I have done this.”

And God said to him in a dream, “Yes, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart. For I also withheld you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not let you touch her. Now therefore, restore the man’s wife; for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you shall live. But if you do not restore her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours.”

So Abimelech rose early in the morning, called all his servants, and told all these things in their hearing; and the men were very much afraid. And Abimelech called Abraham and said to him, “What have you done to us? How have I offended you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done deeds to me that ought not to be done.” Then Abimelech said to Abraham, “What did you have in view, that you have done this thing?”

And Abraham said, “Because I thought, surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will kill me on account of my wife. But indeed she is truly my sister. She is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife. And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father’s house, that I said to her, ‘This is your kindness that you should do for me: in every place, wherever we go, say of me, “He is my brother.” ’ ”

Then Abimelech took sheep, oxen, and male and female servants, and gave them to Abraham; and he restored Sarah his wife to him. And Abimelech said, “See, my land is before you; dwell where it pleases you.” Then to Sarah he said, “Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver; indeed this vindicates you before all who are with you and before everybody.” Thus she was rebuked.

So Abraham prayed to God; and God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants. Then they bore children; for the Lord had closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech because of Sarah, Abraham’s wife.

Abraham did not protect Sarah, but God will protect her!

This covenant of grace is powerful

You see trash but God sees prophet

His calling is irrevocable

God will protect us

Genesis 20:17-18

So Abraham prayed to God; and God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants. Then they bore children; for the Lord had closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech because of Sarah, Abraham’s wife.

Abraham prayed. He had sin twice. Lied but this person who is disqualified prayed to God

The first mention of healing in bible

Healing is completely by grace

When you want to receive healing from God, is by His grace

In spite of your sin, God can heal you today!

God is so good

We are the seed of Abraham

Sarah is a picture of grace

Grace cannot be your sister. Grace must be your wife. You need to have intimate with grace

Embrace grace as your wife. Believe in the radical grace of God, great power is exposed

Mark 16:17-18

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Who will lay hands on the sick and the sick will recover? me

John 14:8-14

Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”

Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

The Answered Prayer

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

He who has seen Me has seen the Father

Believe Me for the sake of the works themselves

No one can open blind eyes.

Jesus is God

John 14:12

The Answered Prayer

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

You have the power over cancer. The hunted becomes the hunter.

Greater works than this will we do

The same Lord that lives in us is the same Lord today

Arise and realise as a Christian, Christ in you, the hope of glory!

Judges 14:14

So he said to them:

“Out of the eater came something to eat,

And out of the strong came something sweet.”

Now for three days they could not explain the riddle.

Philippians 1:28

and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.

Whenever you are not afraid of your enemy, to you salvation of God.

Step up in faith.
