John 3 and 4

In Luke 19, Jesus gave grace to the sinners

Grace makes people generous

If you drink the water that Jesus gives us, we will not thirst again

Jesus revealed Himself as Messiah to the woman.

But if you look at Jesus as a teacher, you are not looking at the Person, you are looking at what He teaches you and you can do it yourself.

What is it about grace that makes people instant evangelist?

Jesus said He has food to eat that we do not know of

Luke 15:1

The Parable of the Lost Sheep

(Matt. 18:10–14)

Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him.

Luke 15:2

And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.”

Jesus left the house and sat by the seaside.

How does Jesus sees people who fall sick? They fall into pit. Pull them up

Take the lower seat so the host come up and tell you take the higher seat.

When God exalt you, no man can “un-exalt” you!

If you humble yourself you will be exalted

Isaiah 40:4

Every valley shall be exalted

And every mountain and hill brought low;

The crooked places shall be made straight

And the rough places smooth;

God’s hands are bigger.

When you invite your guests, invite the blind the poor the lame. They cannot repay you and you shall be blessed !

Luke 14:17

and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’

God’s justice satisfied

Healing, children’s bread is on table.

Before Abraham was, I am.

Holy Spirit did not come to draw attention to Himself but to Jesus

Luke 14:17

and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’

Luke 14:18-19

But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’ And another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.’

The Lord is angry when He has so much healing and love and we don’t want to take it

Luke 14:20-21

Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’ So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’

Luke 14:22

And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’

God’s grace is always greater than our sins.

The eating power too small and the Lamb is always too big

Luke 14:23

Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

The last move of God is among highways and hedges

Hedges are coming down. Bring them all in.

We were all compelled guests.

Compel not disregarding our wills. He compel by making us willing

God brought us in. If God did not make us see, we will not see.

God opens our eyes to see

God brought us here. He compel us to eat of the food.

Luke 14:25

Leaving All to Follow Christ

(Matt. 10:34–39)

Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them,

How do you treat the Lord Jesus? Do you come to Him as Saviour or as a teacher? We need Saviour everyday

Ephesians 5:1

Walk in Love

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.

Those who know they are loved by their father will imitate their father

Eph 5:1 AMP

Therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father];

Luke 14:25

Leaving All to Follow Christ

(Matt. 10:34–39)

Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them,

Luke 14:28

For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—

Luke 14:31

Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?

Luke 14:33

So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

Sinners make connection to Saviour

We see the Lord as example or as Saviour?

Once we see His love, we can mimic Him

Luke 15:7

I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

The lamb consented to be loved. The lamb consented to be carried, rest on His shoulder and rested on His love

God’s joy in saving us and redeeming us. It is all about the finder’s joy

God’a world is made happy by sinners entering into that world

Luke 15:9

And when she has found it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I lost!’

Uncommon joy of the finder

God finding me and redeeming me is the finder’s joy

Come to My world

The world disappoint you, His world will never disappoint you

The shepherd is the Lord Jesus

The father is God the Father

In heaven we look around, all are compelled guests but the Lord makes us willing
