Sermon Note

Pastor Prince

6 Aug 2017 sermon – Healing Power of a Joyful Heart

It is not fighting people. It is fighting enemies

2000 years ago, Jesus hung on the cross. By His stripes we are healed

If a animal die out of shock, it will release toxic to its body

For Jesus He was suffered first and put on sacrifice

Wound for wound

Burning for burning

Stripe for stripe

He borne our sins in His body

He did not borne our sins in His spirit

His soul was involved

Jesus did not die spiritually

When Jesus hung on the cross, His bones looked and stared at Him

He was also very Man

As Man He could feel tired

Deuteronomy 25:1

If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

Deuteronomy 25:3

Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.

Deuteronomy 25:4-5

Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.

If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband’s brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband’s brother unto her.

1 Peter 2:24

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Stripe – Molops is singular

By His single stripe we are healed

Greek language is very exact

There are different words for the word Love

Not even a skin left, therefore stripe was used as a singular term

Healing is children’s bread

It is good to be in the house of the Lord

Bread enough and to spare

Hebrew word for complain is spend a night

1 Peter 2:25

For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

The hook on the staff is to save sheep from falling

Isaiah 53:6

All we like sheep have gone astray;

we have turned every one to his own way;

and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Bishop of your souls – We are been watched over all the time

You are like a sheep. The Lord is your shepherd

He is watching over you

You are not vulnerable, you are not insecure, you are not unprotected

The Lord is with you. He is watching over you

The Lord loves you

You will be healthy

He is the overseer of my soul

Memorise Psalm 23

When you are flowing with the Lord, He wants you to be happy

We rejoice not because of promotion coming

We rejoice because of God’s grace in our lives

The joy that comes because of God’s grace

Isaiah 53:4

Surely he hath borne our griefs,

and carried our sorrows:

yet we did esteem him stricken,

smitten of God, and afflicted.

Matthew 8:16

Many Healed in the Evening

(Mark 1:32–34; Luke 4:40, 41)

When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,

He healed ALL who came to Him

Matthew 8:17

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

“He Himself took our infirmities

And bore our sicknesses.”

We are not in the rain. We are in the secret place of the most high

In Christ Jesus we are secure and warm

We are living life with our feet on earth but we are in Christ

God is watching you. Feel secure

Feel yourself secure, protected and warm

Don’t even receive the pain of the insult

With your eyes you shall see but you shall not experience it

We are looking not for grave but for the rapture. We are looking for Jesus to come to us

The last enemy is death. When Jesus comes back we will have our new body

It is a upward stumbling. Pastors still sin but they are learning.

Learn if we trigger this, sickness will happen

If i trigger this, healing will happen

The devil shoots you with something that grieve your hearts

There are days you anxious about a lot of things and you get very tired

Feed on the sin-offering, not on the sin

See Jesus and the reason why Jesus died for this person

Feed on Jesus and this will heal you in the counselling

The works of the anti-Christ is to worn down the saints of the most high

Rest is empowerment

Rest is replenishing

Worn down people are not interesting people to listen to

All sorrow in the world is dangerous. It will kill.

People who are depressed are much more subject to diseases

Divorce causes the body to breakdown and sorrow comes in

2 Corinthians 7:10

For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.

Repentance is change of mind

Sorrow of the world produces sin

Proverbs 17:22

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:

but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Your reason for joy is not waiting for things to happen than you are happy

Joy is independent of happenings

The most joyful letter of Paul is in the book of Philippians. He wrote in the prison

Rejoice in the Lord!

Rejoice in the good Shepherd

Joy in the Lord releases healing

A broken spirit dries your bones!

Blood needs water. Drinking water alone is not enough

Deuteronomy 34:7

Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished.

A broken spirit dries the bones

I am fearfully and wonderfully made

When your bone dries up, there is a shrinkage.

We believe God that we will not receive shrinkage

We have health written in the DNA

When you serve the Lord, moisture flows

Get involved. When you lose your life for My sake, you gain your life

When the king is in resident, the flag is up

Proverbs 15:13

A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance:

but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

When you smile from merry heart, you will have moisture on your face and you will look younger and younger

Sorrow cause the spirit to be broken

Don’t allow sorrow to stay

Psalms 129:3

The plowers plowed upon my back:

they made long their furrows.

They were not just hitting His back. They plowed His back

Deuteronomy 25:1

If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

1 Peter 2:24

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

We died with Jesus and we died in sin

Righteousness is a gift

Ecclesiastes 9:7

Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.

Eat your bread with joy

Drink the wine with a merry heart
