Sermon Note

Pastor Prince

Hebrews 6:11-12 (NKJV)

11 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

God can move people’s hearts.

Endurance. Keep on praying. Don’t give up.

We know our God. He wants us well

He wants us well from the top of our head to the sole of our feet.

Hebrews 6:13-16 (NKJV)

God’s Infallible Purpose in Christ

13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14 saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 16 For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute.

God swear by Himself. Does God has to swear? But He swore. No one is greater than Him. So He swore by Himself.

Will it be something bad or judgemental? God does not have to swear. His Word alone is enough.

SURELY! Not maybe!

Surely is a very strong word.

Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you

We believe in a God who judges but not a God who blessed. We tend to believe the negative side.

We are more inclined towards the negative. This is flesh

Once you are a child of God, you are in the spirit. I have the joy of the Lord.

Human being has learnt to react.

Learn to rule within. I DECIDE to be happy.

God knows our nature. Believe it when He said SURELY

You believe the word of a man you never seen. The flesh has this tendency.

When God speaks, you ask Him to give you a sign.

All these are flesh. We find it hard to believe in God

What is 5 loaves 2 fish among so many (people)? Jesus did not look at them. He looked up. All supplies are there!

Oath – binding agreement

God wants to show more abundantly to the heir of promise!

Hebrews 6:17-18 (NKJV)

17 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, 18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

HOPE, REFUGE

Sure and steadfast

This year, sure and steadfast

People are drawn to people who are sure and steadfast

Our hope is an anchor of a soul

God does not have to swear. We have 2 unchangeable things. God’s Word is enough

Man can fail. God cannot lie.

By the sworn oath of God, we have 2 solid things.

Surely blessings i will bless you and multiplying i will multiply you

You are so blessed that you are multiplying others.

Faith so that people come to know Jesus

Hebrews 6:19-20 (NKJV)

19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

Human hope, fleshly hope -> hope dashed

Hope has got to do with the future, not the past.

God wants us to have this perspective

1 Thessalonians 5:8 (NKJV)

8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

Hope -> A confident and certain expectation of good in the future

Hope of salvation -> you are saved

Unless you become like little children, you cannot see the kingdom of heaven.

Children have simple trust. They don’t think they might not have food for the next 6 months.

Salvation is a inclusive word

When God named His Son salvation, it is mouthful. Jesus – Salvation

You eat it. Caleb was 85 years old and he said he is as strong today as the day Moses sent him. He ate giants for breakfast. It is not easy, through tears even. God loves it.

Surely as He has heard them said they cannot enter the land, they cannot. But Joshua and Caleb had positive outlook.

The people stoned the 2 who believed.

God loves people who have hope. Positive expectation of good

Romans 4:18 (NKJV)

18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”

There is no reason for natural hope but Abraham kept hoping.

Romans 4:18 NLT

18 Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!”

Regardless of what happened in 2026, have positive expectation of good! You will be sure and steadfast

SURELY blessings I will bless you

Includes

SURELY healing I will heal you

Joshua and Caleb went into the promise land. They got what they believed.

Hope does not disappoint.

Romans 5:5 (NKJV)

5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Have a viewpoint of hope.

Protect your mind.

The flesh wants to have negative depressive thoughts. Bring it back

It is not just positive thinking without Christ. Without Him we can do nothing.

We are going to be stable people.

Speak with assurance because of your word.

Truly truly I said to you

Jesus don’t say maybe

He said truly truly

In Hebrews, amen amen

Let your soul be anchored

Expect good to come out of it!
