Sermon note
Pastor Prince
Isaiah 55:7-9 NKJV
Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.
8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
The very root of Jacob’s natural strength, God touched him.
If you feel you have no strength, that is the time God is nearest
If you don’t think like God, you don’t have the highest form of discipline to change
When you carry someone on shoulders, all the burdens fall on you. You just rest.
Romans 5:20 NKJV
20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,
Romans 6:2 NKJV
2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
“First of all let me make a comment, to me a very important and vital comment. The true preaching of the gospel of salvation by grace alone always leads to the possibility of this charge being brought against it. There is no better test as to whether a man is really preaching the New Testament gospel of salvation than this, that some people might misunderstand it and misinterpret it to mean that it really amounts to this, that because you are saved by grace alone it does not matter at all what you do; you can go on sinning as much as you like because it will redound all the more to the glory of grace. That is a very good test of gospel preaching. If my preaching and presentation of the gospel of salvation does not expose it to that misunderstanding, then it is not the gospel.”

Die daily -> Expression of everyday exposed to death
Romans 6:7-9 NKJV
7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.
8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,
9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him.
You are freed from sin
Freed – past tense
Justified – declared justified
Romans 6:7 LSB
for he who has died has been justified from sin.
Romans 6:10-11 NKJV
10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Luke 22:31-34 NKJV
31 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.
32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
33 But he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death.”
34 Then He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you will deny three times that you know Me.”
Matthew 26:74 NKJV
74 Then he began to curse and swear, saying, “I do not know the Man!”
Immediately a rooster crowed.
Luke 22:60-62 NKJV
60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are saying!”
Immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.
61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”
62 So Peter went out and wept bitterly.
When we take our eyes off Jesus, He will never take His eyes off us.
It was the last time Peter saw Jesus alive
He loves us because He loves us not because we flattered Him
No one can insult Him into bad opinion
The Lord who saved us is altogether lovely
Mark 16:6-7 NKJV
6 But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.
7 But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.”
And Peter.
To all the disciples, Jesus appeared to Peter first.
1 Corinthians 15:4-5 NKJV
4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
Peter was completely restored
Peter run first but John overtook him
Peter was guilty that morning until the Lord restored him
The next morning Peter saw Jesus and jumped into the water to Jesus. He outswam everybody
The Lord restored Peter 3 times to ministry
He was abundantly pardoned
Acts 3:12-14 NKJV
12 So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?
13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go.
14 But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,
Denied in the presence of Pilate
You denied the Holy One and the Just
3000 souls were saved when Peter preached
No good things will He withhold them who walk uprightly
The more you know His love, the more you love. The more you know His forgiveness, the more you forgive
