John 5:2-3 NKJV
2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.
Jesus healed only 1 man in this instance who had laid for 38 years
The Word became flesh and dwell among us
He moved the gift of the spirit
We are raised in a culture that provides mind development
The Word of God is infalliable
God did not just make us a mind over developed
We limit ourselves
I am a spirit, that is the real you
I have a soul, your mind your will and emotion (not the real you)
Feeling does not define you
You are not define by your feeling
You live in a body (a house. Your tabernacle like a temple)
Which part of you is made righteous
The Lord is renewing our mind our soul
You are created in righteousness and true holiness
You are a spirit being
Learn to walk in the spirit
His hesed endures forever
House of grace
Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
John 5:6-8 NKJV
6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
8 Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”
There are people who don’t want to be well
Some people like the attention
Some people get welfare
Deep down do you want to be well
Angels assist us
They minister us.
The angels will want us focus on Jesus
The pool there represent the Lord
The man was 38 years old
Wondering in Israel was 38 years
Is a picture of Israel
Jesus came to the man
The law presumes on your strength
Law cannot sanctify us
Christ sanctify us
Christ heals us
Something you need, you don’t need it anymore
That which you used to depend on, take authority over
John 5:9-11 NKJV
9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.
And that day was the Sabbath.
10 The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, “It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.”
11 He answered them, “He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’ ”
Religion is going to rob you of your miracle
You cannot be religious and be strong in faith
religion – bind
Whom the Son sets free is free
Let the world think christianity is religion; it is not.
Jesus healed only one
John 5:16-18 NKJV
16 For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath.
17 But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”
18 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.
Truth sabbath
God made men on the last day
God prepared everything for men
When God made men God said it was VERY good.
You are God’s crowning creation
Let us make men in our image
God made men last to enjoy everything that He has.
On the 7th day is God’s sabbath’s day
God Himself rested because His work is finished
Man’s first day is to enter into His rest
Adam covered himself with fig leaves
Jesus cursed the fig tree
Before speaking faith can happen
Jesus’ work is work of redemption
If My Father is working to restore everything, how can I rest
His Father has been working UNTIL NOW (since Eden time)
John 5:19-20 NKJV
19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.
Truly truly
Amen! -> truth! It is so!
When you experience the glory of God
We are involved. Manifest by us
Jesus came as a Man
He showed us what man ought to be
Fears worries anxiety comes from us depending on self.
Sometimes we depend on other people who disappoint us
When you are truly independent on man, you can help them
You must be delivered from men
You cannot be bothered what they think of you
The fear of man is a snar
Rhema
We have so much in our logic that we bypass pictures that come into our mind
Pride of life (is something we watch out for)
Lust of the flesh
Lust of the eyes (you want somebody else’s car, spouse)
Jesus saw the one man healed. He just healed that one man
God leads us everyday
imagination. You will see My will
See what the Father does
When God shows you things is because He is loving you at that very moment
When you do things in God’s will, the result is amazing.
Does God loves you? Yes! Therefore He will show us.
The Father will show us greater work that we may marvel
People will see the greater work
Isaiah 40:28-31 NKJV
28 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
If your trust is in the youthfulness you will be disappointed
Utterly fall is literally fall
Renew -> change
They have natural strength
Come to God, spend time with God
Change strength
There is creativity born out of boredom
Wait on the Lord not only with Words
Pray in tongues and God gives you pictures
Unveil face and you see Jesus
2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV
18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
By the spirit of God, you behold Him
Silence
There is a strength never there before
There are times you walk and you faint very fast
The youth cannot fly
After that time with the Lord, you can fly.
Wings of eagles!
Your youth is renewed like the eagles!
Jesus bore us on eagle’s wings
Don’t talk. Come and just behold. Rest.
Behold His glory by seeing
Holy Spirit takes over.
You are now seated with Christ in the holy place.
Lovers don’t have to talk all the time.
God will guide us with His eyes
Let them come near
Then let them speak
Come together for judgement (decision making)
