Sermon Note

Pastor Prince

1 Chronicles 12:32

of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command;

2 Timothy 3:1

Perilous Times and Perilous Men

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:

Man will start to abuse the very gift that the Lord gives us.

When God made men, He made us last so that we will enjoy everything. Enjoy the finished work.

Man must enter into rest to enjoy the work of God

Rest part is our part. We rest in the work of Christ. We don’t try to accelerate. That is God’s part.

Proverbs 28:22

A man with an evil eye hastens after riches,

And does not consider that poverty will come upon him.

God accelerate. Rest is not inactivity. Rest is spirit-directed activity.

When we rest, God works. When we work, God rest.

Isaiah 53:4

Surely He has borne our griefs

And carried our sorrows;

Yet we esteemed Him stricken,

Smitten by God, and afflicted.

Matthew 8:17

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

“He Himself took our infirmities

And bore our sicknesses.”

God wants to repair the bridge.

When God restores, it is better in quality and quantity.

Before Jesus comes again, there will be revelation of how we receive our inheritance in Christ.

Hebrews 10:19-20

Hold Fast Your Confession

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,

1 Thessalonians 4:15

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.

Alive and remain

Power to remain until Jesus comes

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Alive and remain

Philippians 1:23-24

For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.

Healing is something He purchased for us at the cross. Through death He might destroy him who had the power of death. He has disarmed the devil who had the power of death.

The devil is after killing off God’s people physically. All the gifting and calling to release to bless this world and set them free, gift of the holy spirit, all these gifts flow from His church

God’s way is to send someone with the word of God and grace to deliver.

We are free from the power of death

George Mueller known as man of faith. He prayed in provision for the orphans

George Mueller had no pain no aches no rheumatism in his 90s.

Proverbs 4:20-22

My son, give attention to my words;

Incline your ear to my sayings.

Do not let them depart from your eyes;

Keep them in the midst of your heart;

For they are life to those who find them,

And health to all their flesh.

Health (‘marpe’ – medicine) to all their flesh

Take a good dose of God’s Word

Spend time in His Word

My first job is to keep my soul happy and when my soul is happy i can attend to all matters.

Secret of walking like Caleb did.

Joshua 14:10

And now, behold, the LORD has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the LORD spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old.

I am as strong this day as the day Moses sent me.

The day was when he was 40 years old.

God does not send sickness and diseases.

James 1:17

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

Just maybe, the entire church world comes into time of discipline. Now we are not coming back physically that we long to come together again.

“By chance” someone might hear God’s Word online and get saved.

If you have been faithful to Me, i will stop time for you.

Caleb and Joshua brought back the good reports. God allowed them to go through the 40 years of wilderness. But God STOPPED TIME FOR HIM. He is as strong THIS DAY as on the day that Moses sent him.

Joshua 14:11

As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in.

You are not part of the chastisement. God will stop time for you.

Just as his strength was, his strength for war. Both for going out and for coming in.

Joshua 14:12

Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the LORD spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the LORD will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the LORD said.”

God wants u to have physical strength even in your old age.

Psalms 90:10

The days of our lives are seventy years;

And if by reason of strength they are eighty years,

Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow;

For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

This is Psalm of Moses when they were in wilderness.

They were under wilderness under God’s wrath.

Psalms 90:9

For all our days have passed away in Your wrath;

We finish our years like a sigh.

Psalms 90:11

Who knows the power of Your anger?

For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath.

We are NOT under God’s wrath

Isaiah 54:9

“For this is like the waters of Noah to Me;

For as I have sworn

That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth,

So have I sworn

That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.

God will never be angry with you. He has raised His arm and sworn

Rainbow in the sky is not reminder of Noah

God promises us He will never be angry with us.

The law speaks to your strength.

Man does not know himself.

Romans 3:20

Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

The law is given to show us we cannot.

Numbers 8:23-26

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “This is what pertains to the Levites: From twenty-five years old and above one may enter to perform service in the work of the tabernacle of meeting; and at the age of fifty years they must cease performing this work, and shall work no more. They may minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of meeting, to attend to needs, but they themselves shall do no work. Thus you shall do to the Levites regarding their duties.”

25-50 years old is all the time they had to work in the tabernacle

If you depend on your physical strength, your strength is limited.

Genesis 18:1-2

Then the LORD appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day. So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground,

He ran. He was nearly 100 years old at this time

Genesis 17:5

No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.

Genesis 18:6-7

So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes.” And Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hastened to prepare it.

Abraham run.

God renewed his youth like the eagle. God wants to bring forth seed to bring forth Issac.

Hebrews 11:11

Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

Through Faith

1 Peter 3:6

Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

God renewed the youth of Abraham and Sarah. God wants the same effect on your body

Hebrews 11:27

By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.

Endured as seeing Him who is invisible

Endured – ‘Kartereo’ – remain strong

He saw Jesus who is the invisible

The key to remain strong, renewal of youth, you see Jesus in His Word

Psalms 91:16

With long life I will satisfy him,

And show him My salvation.” (Yeshua- Jesus)

See Him in His Word. The Lord Jesus demonstrated for us

Jesus took time on the very same day He rose from the dead in the morning

Luke 24:16

But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him.

Luke 24:27

And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

He expounded to them things concerning Himself

Is more important for us to see Him in the scriptures than to see Him in person

Thank God for His Word. We can see Him everyday in His Word

As He is, so are we in this world.

Jesus is young.

Psalms 110:3

Your people shall be volunteers

In the day of Your power;

In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning,

You have the dew of Your youth.

As He is so are we in this world

2 Kings 2:9-10

And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?”

Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.”

So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.”

2 Kings 2:11

Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Elijah performed 8 miracles in his ministry

Elisha performed 16 miracles

When we see Jesus in His Word, His power is upon us.

Jesus is beyond the blue when we look up to the sky

In tabernacle traveling dress, it is covered with blue.

We see Jesus in the Word

Luke 24:13

The Road to Emmaus

(Mark 16:12, 13)

Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem.

Hear Jesus expound things concerning Himself

7 miles journey all the way to Emmaus

They had communion. Discern the body.

Matthew 8:17

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

“He Himself took our infirmities

And bore our sicknesses.”

In that body of Jesus He took our infirmities. Discern our sicknesses are put away.

Partake in faith

Luke 24:33

So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together,

When you receive God’s Word you shall go out with joy

Isaiah 55:10-12

“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,

And do not return there,

But water the earth,

And make it bring forth and bud,

That it may give seed to the sower

And bread to the eater,

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;

It shall not return to Me void,

But it shall accomplish what I please,

And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

“For you shall go out with joy,

And be led out with peace;

The mountains and the hills

Shall break forth into singing before you,

And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

He is giving us equal opportunity when He restrained their eyes from seeing Him physically

We have equal privilege to see Him in the Scriptures.

I want to see more of Jesus

To see Jesus is to feed on Him

Is my food. Is my medicine. Is my life!

Isaiah 40:29-30

He gives power to the weak,

And to those who have no might He increases strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary,

And the young men shall utterly fall,

Don’t trust in our natural strength

Isaiah 40:31

But those who wait on the LORD

Shall renew (exchange) their strength;

They shall mount up with wings like eagles,

They shall run and not be weary,

They shall walk and not faint.

Wait – hope, expectation

Look at with hope and expectation

Hebrews 12:2

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Look at Jesus attentively.

See Him in the Word. When you see Him you become like Him

Always entreat God to open our eyes to see Jesus

When we see Jesus, He will transform the situation or give us the strength / wisdom to handle the situation.

Exchange their strength

Exchange our natural strength to give us His spiritual God’s strength

That which is limited to that which is unlimited.

Isaiah 40:31

But those who wait on the LORD

Shall renew their strength;

They shall mount up with wings like eagles,

They shall run and not be weary,

They shall walk and not faint.

See Him who is invisible. He is invisible, we see Him in the Word.
