Eph 2

Dead in sin – Made Alive

God is rich in mercy

Dead – raised – sit in heavenly places

Exceeding riches of His grace

We have been set apart

Ephesians 2:1-3

By Grace Through Faith

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

Seated in Christ

Ephesians 2:4-8

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

He is ready and will show in time to come His exceeding riches of His grace

Anything you can boast, it is not from God.

Jesus came not to make us do good works. He came to make dead people live.

Why is it important to sit?

To sit is to rest

As Christ is, so are we

Can you find position – provision protection in Psalm 23

How many wells did Issac dig in total?

He who dwells (sit) in the secret place of the most high –

Protection

Psalms 23:1-5

The LORD the Shepherd of His People

A Psalm of David.

The LORD is my shepherd;

I shall not want.

He makes me to lie down in green pastures;

He leads me beside the still waters.

He restores my soul;

He leads me in the paths of righteousness

For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil;

For You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;

You anoint my head with oil;

My cup runs over.

Which verse talk about position? The restful position. Verse 2

Provision – Green pastures

Plenty to eat and rest

When you rest, provision comes.

Protection – verse 4

When we facing challenging circumstances, His rod and stuff comfort us

The rod is meant to protect us

Stuff – to pull the sheep back. It is to pull us back when we are lost

When we position ourselves in the place of rest, we will get provision

Provision and protection

Issac dug 5 wells

It was a time of Famine

Genesis 26:1

Isaac and Abimelech

There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar.

Live in the land which i shall tell you!

Genesis 26:2

Then the LORD appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you.

Position

Genesis 26:6

So Isaac dwelt (sit) in Gerar.

Wherever you are, God will plant you. He will cause you to sit.

Sowed and reaped in the same year, 100 fold

Genesis 26:12

Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him.

Provision

Genesis 26:13

The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;

When God blessed people He always talk about your children your family your loved ones

Our part is to rest.

Issac sow in the land of famine and reap in the same year 100 fold!

In the Valley of Gerar – Protection

Be prepared there will be envy

Issac’s wells

  1. Envy – Threw dirt into the well (v14)
  2. Esek – Quarrel, accused (v20)
  3. Sitnah – Enmity, Hostility (v21)
  4. SPACIOUS – Fruitfulness (v22)
  5. Jesus appeared – Do not fear for I am with YOU (v24)

The Lord will bring you to a spacious space

Position first. Sit. If things don’t go our way, He will protect us

This time he went up from spacious space

From your valley, the Lord will bring you up.

After time and space, Jesus appeared!

The Lord appeared to him the same night.

Genesis 26:24

And the LORD appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham; do not fear, for I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendants for My servant Abraham’s sake.”

When we are in position, the protection will come.

When things seem quiet, Jesus will appear and tell you do not be afraid, I am with you

The 5th well, the number of grace

It starts with your position

Position of rest.

You need to be seated, rest, to hear Him

We are blessed because we hear Him

What God has blessed you, God cannot revoke

Do we really believe? It depends on the amount of oil we collect. We have a under shepherd, our senior pastor

Collect anointing for ourselves

I meant to have renewal of youth

Be seated and hear Him
