Sermon note (3rd svc)
– Pastor Prince

The Year of Hesed Wisdom

Why hesed? Hesed is the hebrew word for Grace

Jewish believers have their New Testament in Hebrew. Everywhere grace appeared is the word Hesed. This is translation by a Hebrew Scholar.

One of the word restored is the word Hesed.

Dead sea scroll was discovered recently. Carbon date traced all the way to Jesus time.

Isaiah is word for word translation from what they translated 2000 years ago.

Hesed is grace. His hesed lovingkindness is new every morning.

Psalms 136:5
To Him who by wisdom made the heavens,
For His mercy (hesed) endures forever;

Jesus increased in wisdom. Wisdom first.

There is a grace in wisdom and wisdom of grace.

There is grace for wisdom this year.
You will see things

God is dealing with people because of His love for the people.

The ability to see ourselves and where it has fallen short without condemning ourselves.

This is wisdom itself

Judge the behaviour. Someone that always want to have their last word. They are exposing their insecurity

Ability to see that is wisdom itself.

No one is so blind that the eyes are opened and yet cannot see.

Top 10 riches man down through history, most likely the top names is King Solomon

His net worth today will be trillions, and yet King Solomon did not ask for riches.

All the things we desire is found in wisdom.

Wisdom will give us ->
Length of days (long lives)
Riches
Honour
Paths of pleasures
Shalom

The reason you want more money is because u want the above 5 things.

God will give us all 5 things above when He gives us wisdom.

Riches and honour is there

Riches is a blessing from God
Poverty is shame

If you are lazy you will come to poverty.

God is against materialism

Shown great mercy and great kindness -> same word, great grace

Grace power goes with great grace

Your bondage is broken. When wisdom come forth in your life, your bondage is broken by Jesus.

1 Kings 3:5-10
At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?”
And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”
The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.

His grace is great!
David was the one who wrote the Psalm

David thought him grace. God is a God who will show grace. Grace and truth come from the Lord.

Great grace and your great people but i am a little child.

Paul, his name is the little one

If you are little in your eyes, the Lord will exalt you.

Before honour is humility. Before destruction the heart of man is arrogance. Long before you see destruction there was pride.

If you have humility in your heart, there is honour.
If you have pride in your heart, there is destruction.

1 Kings 3:11-15
Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days. So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”
Then Solomon awoke; and indeed it had been a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, offered up burnt offerings, offered peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.

Riches and Honour
No king will be as rich or come close to Solomon.

A greater than Solomon is here -> the Lord Jesus

The Lord Jesus is the Source of Wisdom

From a child (infant) thou has known the holy scripture and are able to make you wise.

Scripture is God’s wisdom

Solomon was involved in the outward fall. There was no ark. He was involved in religion in that sense.

1 Kings 3:15
Then Solomon awoke; and indeed it had been a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, offered up burnt offerings, offered peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.

When wisdom comes into your heart, u treasure the presence of God. True wisdom

The right hand comes with condition

1 Kings 3:14
So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”

Jesus is the right hand. Never depart from Him.

Solomon had a lot of foreign wives who brought in statues of other gods.

There is also wisdom from earth. Bitterness and make you proud and arrogance. U are insecure. Deal with your insecurity.

You have long life right now because u have Jesus.

When you walk in the Spirit (Christ is the standard, not the law), abide in Him, it means when you are under grace you are Christ-occupied.

You have the heart of mission, go and join one and go for it.

God makes you a man, make decision.

It happened to the first man, Adam.
“The woman you gave me…”

Be a man, make decision.

Repossess, take back.

If u give the authority to your wife to make decision, don’t blame your wife for the wrong decision.

When you submit you increase in wisdom.
It does not mean the weak submit to the strong.

It shows wisdom when you are in the place. Submission is not giving in. It is attitude.

Esther asked the man who was in charge. She asked him, “i do not want anything but what you recommend.”

When Esther appeared, she obtained favour in the sight of them all.

When you submit you release wisdom.

Head means the final decision lies with you.
Ladies you are the neck that turn the head!

Wisdom give you length of days.

First manifestation of his wisdom he appeared before the ark. He treasured the presence of the Lord.

1 Kings 4:29-34
And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore. Thus Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men—than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the surrounding nations. He spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were one thousand and five. Also he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree of Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish. And men of all nations, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom, came to hear the wisdom of Solomon.

Be kind. We were all stupid. Every time you sin you are stupid.

wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart

There is a wisdom for natural invention. Is all from God. Every good and perfect peace from above.

He make His rain to fall on just and unjust.

His best are for His people

He was wiser than all men

God gives wisdom. Natural wisdom. Natural wisdom can be easily corrupted.

The wisdom of God is the best.

Spend time with the condensed concentrated wisdom found in the book of Proverbs.

You don’t read because you think you know.

Unless the Lord speaks, no one will be transformed.

Testimony –
A man. He is 34 years old. He believed his salvation depends on his works.
His wife suffered depression from the pregnancy. His wife was contemplating suicide and she came across Pastor Prince sermon.
They were transformed and now their marriage are flourishing. And financial are increasing. He was set free from pornography and his wife recovered from long term disease.

In a gathering, their relative who was diagnosed with cancer, they spoke forth healing and she partake holy communion and she watched Pastor Prince sermon. When she went for check up, there was no trace of cancer! Praise Jesus!

With God, things that are little become much. God can put that is nothing to big. The more severe the easier it seems

The bigger the problem the easier it is.

Free from every disease!

1 Kings 4:31
For he was wiser than all men—than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the surrounding nations.

Ethan, Heman
They were wise men.

Psalm 88 and 89

Psalms 88:1-7
O Lord, God of my salvation,
I have cried out day and night before You.
Let my prayer come before You;
Incline Your ear to my cry.
For my soul is full of troubles,
And my life draws near to the grave.
I am counted with those who go down to the pit;
I am like a man who has no strength,
Adrift among the dead,
Like the slain who lie in the grave,
Whom You remember no more,
And who are cut off from Your hand.
You have laid me in the lowest pit,
In darkness, in the depths.
Your wrath lies heavy upon me,
And You have afflicted me with all Your waves.
Selah

Psalms 88:16-18
Your fierce wrath has gone over me;
Your terrors have cut me off.
They came around me all day long like water;
They engulfed me altogether.
Loved one and friend You have put far from me,
And my acquaintances into darkness.
Remembering the Covenant with David, and Sorrow for Lost Blessings
A Contemplation of Ethan the Ezrahite.

What a man is when God demand righteousness from man, this is the picture.

The devil imitate Jesus. The devil roars and make you think the King is angry with you.

If you are under law, and you look to yourself, that is darkness and destruction.

God is God. He cannot lower His standard. The first step is to see ourselves- to know without Christ, there is no hope.

Psalms 89:1-4
I will sing of the mercies (hesed) of the Lord forever;
With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations.
For I have said, “Mercy shall be built up forever;
Your faithfulness You shall establish in the very heavens.”
“I have made a covenant with My chosen,
I have sworn to My servant David:
‘Your seed I will establish forever,
And build up your throne to all generations.’ ”
Selah

Mercies -> hesed!

All the darkness in Psalm 88 (the key to depression) looking at themselves inwardly, tat is why they are depressed. The answer is in hesed. Psalm 89

The angel who were with the disciples who watch Jesus descend to heaven, this angel said to them “This same Jesus is coming back the same way. “

Psalms 89:14-17
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne;
Mercy and truth go before Your face.
Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound!
They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance.
In Your name they rejoice all day long,
And in Your righteousness they are exalted.
For You are the glory of their strength,
And in Your favor our horn is exalted.

Mercy (Grace) and truth came by Jesus Christ

David was the one who started saying His mercy and truth endures forever!

Hesed Wisdom

Joyful sound! Preaching of grace and wisdom is joyful sound!

Walk in grace and truth

In Your righteousness you are exalted!
We are seated with Christ and His right hand!

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound!

You are the glory of Your people’s strength.

Horn -> refer to power and authority

Ecclesiastes 2:3-4
I searched in my heart how to gratify my flesh with wine, while guiding my heart with wisdom, and how to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was good for the sons of men to do under heaven all the days of their lives.
I made my works great, I built myself houses, and planted myself vineyards.

See how many times he used the word “I”
When you look at yourself there is no hope.
When you look at Jesus, everything to praise
He is altogether lovely.

Ecclesiastes 2:5-11
I made myself gardens and orchards, and I planted all kinds of fruit trees in them. I made myself water pools from which to water the growing trees of the grove. I acquired male and female servants, and had servants born in my house. Yes, I had greater possessions of herds and flocks than all who were in Jerusalem before me. I also gathered for myself silver and gold and the special treasures of kings and of the provinces. I acquired male and female singers, the delights of the sons of men, and musical instruments of all kinds.
So I became great and excelled more than all who were before me in Jerusalem. Also my wisdom remained with me.
Whatever my eyes desired I did not keep from them.
I did not withhold my heart from any pleasure,
For my heart rejoiced in all my labor;
And this was my reward from all my labor.
Then I looked on all the works that my hands had done
And on the labor in which I had toiled;
And indeed all was vanity and grasping for the wind.
There was no profit under the sun.
The End of the Wise and the Fool

Psalm 88 is life under the sun

Have you thought of how life will be when you have all the money you want?
You want to be a billionaire.
But see King Solomon, he was a trillionaire.
Solomon did. He was gasping for the wind. Empty. Nothing.

A celebrity suffered from depression and condemnation. He said he has tried his best. He felt he was lost. He had money, look, and all that he wanted. Yet the devil made him looked inwardly. He committed suicide.

Romans 7:4-6
Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.

Bear fruit to God
Bear fruit to death

Which one do u want?

Romans 7:7-9
Sin’s Advantage in the Law
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead. I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.

There are a lot of depression among religious people. They believed they committed the unpardonable sin, no assurance of forgiveness.

Devil will point everything to you inwardly.
The truth is if without God’s grace, you do not deserve to eat.

Romans 7:15-23
For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.
I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

Is believers under law who do not understand what Christ did.

Know who we are, so that we know who He is. In and of ourselves we cannot produce anything good.

We deserve hell but through Christ we get heaven, days of heaven on earth.

Romans 7:24 – 8:1
O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.
Free from Indwelling Sin
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

He is in his mind he wants to.

Who will set us free?
Thanks to God through Christ

How?
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ

In Christ there is no condemnation
A true believer will have this struggle

In Christ Jesus! Through Christ Jesus > God is not looking at us. He has a Man. He is going to come to earth, die for all our sins and rose from the dead as a Man.
God look at Jesus, no fault, nothing to improve or condemn. He sees us forever in Him!

The more we look at ourselves, we are not looking at Christ.

Ourselves nothing to look at. We still think there are some good and righteousness in us.

Look at Jesus! We fail is not our failure. The answer is in Christ! No fault, nothing to condemn.

The moment we have bad thoughts
Say this -> As He is, so are we in this world

1 John 4:17
The Consummation of Love
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

All the blessing we have, are all by His grace

God demands righteousness from man in Psalm 88

Psalm 89 is God providing righteousness. His name is Jesus!

That set us free from selfish. Study Him. Learn about His name. Look for Him in our everyday lives.

I live yet not I. God sees us in Christ.

I want to see more of You!

Jesus found us. He had compassion on us. He brought us to the Inn (the church)

Pastors take care of us, and they will be repaid when He comes back again.

This same glorified Man, one of us went into the holy of holies. A Man made it through! Right into the Holy of Holies.

The devil wants us to look at ourselves.

The moment you become “I” occupied, that becomes downward spiral.

He is a King. Jesus touched the leper, it was a King touched. And yet such humility. He came as a Man. He went to heaven as a Man. God He always is.

A man (Adam) failed
A Man (Jesus) won

God measured us by Adam
God measured us by Jesus!

It is about Jesus!
